Two Exciting Events in Chicago for Authors and Book Lovers
The Associated Writing Programs (AWP) Conference is coming to Chicago, and Dream of Things is teaming up with other local organizations to sponsor two exciting literary events:
Event #1: Love and Loss
When: Tuesday, Feb. 28, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Heartwood Center, 1818 Dempster St., Evanston, IL 60202
What: Readings by John Rember, Mike O’Mary and Susanna Lang. John writes eloquently about societal and environmental loss. Mike will read from an anthology he published that includes stories of personal loss from 31 writers. And Susanna will read poetry that she has written and translated. Event #2: Writers who teach. Teachers who write.
When: Sunday, March 4, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

What: Readings by Robin Metz, Christine Sneed and John Rember. Robin, Christine and John are all exceptional writers. They also happen to be outstanding teachers of creative writing.
