Alejandra Valera
A writing and education professional with extensive editing, proofreading, consulting, photographic, art and Web experience, Alejandra Valera received her degree in English and Creative Writing from Roosevelt University.
Her work has appeared in Chicago Parent, Gapers Block, Ohdeedoh, Oyez Review, Rodwan Art Gallery, Womanmade Gallery and Apartment Therapy Chicago.
Born and raised in Chicago, Alejandra taught herself to read when she was four and has been in love with the written word ever since. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, building Rube Goldberg contraptions with her son and traveling. At the end of the day, however, she’s really just a goofy dork at heart who prefers Star Trek to Star Wars.
