I am quite impressed by your site and by the quality of the sample writings there, as well as your own lovely and poignant book, The Note, now in my possession.. Having put together one anthology (on divorce) and knowing well the time and challenges involved, as well as the personal reward of care-taking many voices on a particular theme, I applaud your efforts, time, and dedication!

Thank you for your reply. I did submit that story to “Role Models” as I did feel that topic was the closest fit for the story. I have since submitted a few others to other topics. I am excited to see what the future holds for your book projects. Collaborative books of short stories are always favorites of mine, as a writer and reader. It’s always so nice to read others’ experiences and how they compare with your own. Have a great day!

Hi Jill. Thank you for your note. I don’t currently have any plans to start an anthology on the specific topic you suggested, but as you indicated in one of your notes, the “Role Models” anthology would be the closest fit to your story. Perhaps that’s the one you submitted to. “Advice I’d Like to Pass On” might be another possible fit.

I believe I have sent in several items for several of your anthologies, but I have lost alot of info and cannot find the emails I sent. Can you let me know what items I have sent in and if any have been accepted.

For future…do you tell writers if you do not accept their work…or only if you accept and how long before you let a writer know.

Also, where do these anthologies sell?

Hi Mike,
I just submitted a story for consideration in one of your books. Are you planning to have any topics in the near future for stories about fathers, the relationship between fathers and daughters or stories of children who are now caregivers for their parents? All three topics are of interest to me and I’m constantly seeking outlets for submissions on those topics. Thanks!
