My friend Catherine Tully recently shared this Albert Schweitzer quote: “Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me. It is an uncomfortable doctrine which the true ethics whisper into my ear. You are happy, they say; therefore you are called upon to give much.”
Think about those words and what they mean. To me, those words give new meaning to the phrase, “Make waves!” — as in “make waves that will inspire and motivate the people you touch.”
Now think about people you have known in your life who “make waves”…people whose actions inspire and motivate the people around them…people who inspire and motivate YOU! Those people are role models for all of us, and their stories are stories we should share with the world. So do your part today…make a wave…send me your story!
