Submissions deadline: October 15, 2011.
The travel story anthology is shaping up to be an exciting mix of true travel stories from around the world. Previously, we were accepting submissions for two travel-related anthologies: humorous travel stories and inspiring travel stories. We have now combined those two anthologies into one anthology of travel writing, including humorous AND inspiring stories. Submit your story by October 15, 2011. We plan to publishe the travel story anthology by the end of 2011.
Travel writing has resulted in some of the greatest writing of the past century. Think Paul Theroux, V.S. Naipaul, William Least Heat Moon, Mary Morris, Bill Bryson, Jack Kerouac. Now think YOU!
Sit down and make a list of some of the places you’ve traveled in your lifetime. Where have you been? What did you experience while you were there? Did any of the places or things or people you saw or heard or experienced cause you to think differently about your life and the world around you? Or did they make you laugh or see irony in a situation? If so, tell us about it. Use our online submissions form to submit your story.
